Emission monitoring in ambient air aims to make sure of the air quality and evaluate any procedures to make air more safe with better quality which includes putting limits on emissions concentrations for environment protection.
Cement production is a harsh process that emits heavy dust loads accompanied with gases.
One of the steps in cement production process is heating the raw meal up to 1300°C which is preceded by a preheating process up to 800°C accompanied with cooling the gases to 350°C.
In the preheater tower and cooler stacks. emissions are passing on an electrostatic precipitator filter that minimizes the dust particles by using the force of an induced electrostatic charges. these emissions are monitored in the stacks before they go to the ambient air.
Another emission monitoring point is cement mill stack, cement mill is the place where The clinker is ground by different-size steel balls while it works its way through the mill’s two chambers then housed in storage silos. Unlike in preheater and cooler stacks, cement mill emissions are passing on a bag filter to minimize dust particles. Also these emissions are monitored in the stacks before they go to the ambient air.

- Forward scattering technology devices for dust concentration monitoring accompanied with average pitot technology devices for physical properties monitoring: installed in preheater and cooler stacks that have electrostatic precipitator filters which have a conflict with the electrodynamic technology devices as they both depend on induced charge that’s why we had offered using Forward scattering technology devices.
